This loft conversion in West Village Manhattan was purchased by a young South African art collector and burgeoning designer. John had great fun running around Manhattan guiding his clients purchasing of furnishings, accessories and art, including a Nakashima organic coffee table, mid-century Italian Arteluce light fixtures, and luxurious modern-contemporary Cassina sofa. In the bedroom on top of two mid-century rosewood night stands, John asked his friend Mira Mara to create two vessels that he would use as the bases for lamps. On the bed wall, John used leather in an elephant hide style print, in a nod to South Africa.
