Garden Design in Santa Barbara and Montecito for Doris…and a pretty porch potty!
Garden design in Santa Barbara sometimes is like designing a room. Opportunities to coordinate color schemes and textures with drought tolerant plants. Utilizing boulders that she climbs on and and a variate of colorful succulents and agave plants all set into grey crushed granite. The boulders are Santa Barbara Stone from creation of other Montecito gardens. All, beautifully lit in the evening.
Doris climbs on boulders in the Garden and a variate of colorful succulents and agave plants all set into grey crushed granite. All, beautifully lit in the evening. Here are the species we used: Painted Echeveria, Dwarf Lilyturf, Coastal Rosemary, Lady Bank’s Rose, Rosemary, Pencil Tree, Canyon Live-Forever, Song of India, Curve Leaf Yucca, Foxtail Agave, Aeonium Decorum ‘Variegatum’ and Shaw’s Agave. All of these varietals are terrific for Garden Design in Santa Barbara as they are drought tolerant.
Inspiration for this garden is just down the street from our home in Carpinteria California. Its one of the most beautiful gardens in Santa Barbara and Montecito. The designer and Lanscape designer used drought tolerant plants, agaves, roses, all composed amongst Santa Barbara Boulders. Truly beautiful composition of light, color, and stone. I drive up the street to look for inspiration all the time!
